The school year is flying by, and it’s hard to believe that we already have our first concerts this weekend! Last spring, the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts Chorale performed at St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church in Hartford – an absolutely beautiful space. The Director of Music at SPSA, Gabriel Lovfall, heard us and was impressed, inviting us to collaborate with his community choirs, Chorus Angelicus and Gaudeamus, this fall. Joyful Noise is the name of the whole organization, comprised of several choirs of every level, from little ones to professional adults. Together, we will be singing a concert of American music – from Billings to the premiere of a new composition. Here’s the info:
Saturday, Oct 4, 4pm concert at Trinity Episcopal Church (220 Prospect St) in Torrington, CT.
Sunday, Oct 5, 3pm concert at St. Patrick-St. Anthony Urban Ministry Center (285 Church St) in Hartford, CT.
Tickets are $10 for children and students, $25 for adults, and $40 for premiere seating.
It is such an honor to be joining in this concert, and for the students in the Academy Chorale to see how other choirs do their thing! We are learning so much and would love to share it with you. Please come!
